Lasting change does not happen overnight. Shannon believes that everything in life compounds, and therefore employs that same approach to fitness and progress. She will promote you to make small, sustainable habit changes that, over time, compound into profound results.
Shannon has been working with bodies since 2015. In addition to personal training, she is well-versed in group fitness. She has lead vinyasa yoga, mat and reformer pilates, strength and kettlebell training, HIIT, and spin classes. She also works with the world-wide online platform, Barre3, as a Digital Platform Lead where she teaches yoga, stretch, strength, and cardio classes that each receive thousands of views per month.
Rather than focusing exclusively on goals, when working with Shannon, you will also focus on the systems in your life that support goal achievement. She is passionate about this method because she’s experienced its profound impact firsthand. She used this approach to overcome a decade-long struggle with substance abuse and to successfully lose and keep off over 50 lbs. She is confident that when you put productive systems in place, you will encounter meaningful, lasting change.
While there are many routes that lead to similar results in the gym, Shannon believes that the simplest approaches are the most effective. She fosters an environment of confidence and empowerment by educating her clients on not just the how, but also the why behind the work. Shannon takes a whole-body, holistic approach to training, knowing that nothing works in isolation within the body. She believes in cross-training, and that one modality informs the other, so expect to see a mix of mobility, strength, cardio, and power in her training sessions.
Shannon places a strong emphasis on building healthy habits using scientifically supported principles outside of the gym - Drinking enough water, getting enough sleep, and fueling yourself properly - in order to optimize results and support not just living long, but living well.
