Dan Kayon is a certified Master Trainer with over 20 years of experience helping athletes of all abilities and ages achieve their fitness and performance goals.

His commitment to pain free movement and elite performance began with his BS in Exercise Sports Science, with an Emphasis in Coaching Competitive Athletes, at University of Wisconsin Lacrosse. This led to a career as a teacher and a head coach. After moving to the pacific northwest he began a career as a certified personal trainer specializing in movement efficiency, which leads to pain-free movement and great athletes.

Dan defines fitness by being able to do whatever you want, whenever you want. As a trainer Dan matches an extensive range of exercises to meet specific clients’ needs, always looking to maximize potential.

Dan has worked with clients ranging from youth to senior, focusing primarily on injury risk reduction. He’s also supported rehab for multiple joint and tissue injuries and surgeries, including the rewarding challenges of pregnancy and post-partum recovery.

His passion lies in creating athletes with sound fundamentals of balance, strength, power, mobility, functionality, and focus. Dan’s found success with competitive athletes of all ages, stemming from master’s national champions to the Division 1 ranks up to the professional level.

As lead host of the podcast RAMP Fitness, Dan shares his passion of fitness best practices, sports psychology, and movement efficiency with laypeople and trainers alike.

Dan was drawn to sports of all types growing up, practicing various movements and skills in sports like football, basketball, track and field, wrestling, judo and more, becoming captain and MVP of each team and achieving state champion in Judo. 

He lives with his son and labradoodle in Portland, Oregon, after exploring the Midwest and West Coast. Dan enjoys following the latest research on the body and movement, learning about nonfiction of all types, the strange world of animals, and the history of modern music. He makes the most of his stand up paddle board, adventuring with his family, and seeking out the best sushi in town.
